Think five times before taking a risk.

A selfie is a self-portrait photograph that someone takes with a digital camera or smartphone.

It is often taken in front of a mirror, using the device's built-in front camera.

People can take selfies for social media purposes and/or to capture memories of special moments. Sadly, people have also died trying to take the perfect selfie.

In recent years, there have been several reports of people dying trying to take selfies in dangerous places or under dangerous conditions.

For example, some have drowned while taking a selfie near water; others fell off cliffs while trying to take photos in scenic locations; and some have been hit by trains or electrocuted while taking pictures on train tracks or power lines.

Many countries are now creating “no selfie zones” where people can be fined if they try to take photos in these areas due to safety concerns.

In general, it's important for everyone to be careful when taking selfies and avoid putting themselves in potentially life-threatening situations just to take a photo.

Some cities are even training rescue workers specifically on how to deal with injuries caused by tourists looking for the perfect selfie spot!

Selfies are becoming more and more popular among people of all ages and backgrounds.

While taking a selfie can be fun, there are reports of people dying looking for the perfect shot.

According to recent studies, more than 250 people worldwide have died in selfie-related incidents since 2011.

Most of these deaths occurred when someone was trying to take a risky selfie or was distracted by their phone while doing something else. In India alone, there were 159 reported deaths due to selfies between 2014 and 2019.

Most of these incidents involved people trying to take dangerous selfies near bodies of water or high places like mountains or skyscrapers.

However, some were caused simply by getting distracted when crossing the street or taking a photo with animals they didn't know how to handle properly.

Sadly, this trend appears to continue as many young people risk their safety for the perfect photo opportunity without fully understanding the consequences.

While taking a selfie may seem harmless, people have died as a result.

People often go to great lengths to get the perfect shot, and sometimes those risks are fatal.

For example, in September 2018, three friends were looking for a good spot for a selfie on Praia dos Pescadores, in Portugal, when they were swept away by violent waves.

In the same month, two hikers in Yosemite National Park, in California, fell from the Taft Point lookout while trying to take a selfie with the edge of a cliff in the background.

On October 22, 2016, an Indian student visiting Australia attempted to take a selfie near Cape Solander in Kamay Botany Bay National Park but was dragged onto rocks by powerful waves.

These incidents serve as an unfortunate reminder to many people around the world how easy it is to take unnecessary risks when trying something out for Instagram or other online platforms.

It also made people more aware of how important it is to be careful and think twice before taking extreme selfies – no matter how stunning they might look online.

As people become more aware and aware of these dangers, this type of tragedy can be avoided in the future.

Social media influencers have also become increasingly vocal about safety awareness when it comes to taking photos or videos for social media posts.

They are encouraging their followers to not only be careful when sharing photos, but also to use common sense if they decide to try any kind of risky photo opportunities, such as scaling tall structures or diving without protection.

This can help prevent similar accidents from happening in the future by ensuring everyone is careful when trying something new for an Instagram post or music video.
